Located just ½ mile north of downtown Jasper and minutes from Sultan’s Run, Buffalo Trace Golf Course is a par-71, nearly 6,000-yard municipal golf course offering scenic fairways and excellent value for golfers of all skill levels in Southern Indiana. The course is also less than a 40-minute drive from the renowned French Lick Golf Resort, making it a convenient option for both local players and visiting golfers.
The front nine, designed in 1970 by William Newcomb, features an open and forgiving layout that allows golfers to build confidence and score early. The back nine, designed in 1988 by Gary Kern, highlights the iconic hills and tree-lined corridors of Southern Indiana, placing a greater emphasis on course management and short-game precision.
Affordable yet scenic and thoughtfully designed, Buffalo Trace provides a fun and rewarding experience for beginners, families, and experienced golfers alike. Snacks and alcoholic beverages are available at the clubhouse, and golfers are welcome to bring their own food and non-alcoholic drinks.
Proudly operated as part of Jasper’s Parks & Recreation Department, Buffalo Trace Golf Course reflects the community’s commitment to providing accessible, well-maintained, and enjoyable golf.
